I totally understand what you’re going through (maybe a little different, since I’m a female) Mine was about 10mm. I have been sick for over a year with constant vomiting and nausea, headaches that never go away, etc. It was effecting work and my personal life. In the last year, I have seen probably about a dozen different doctors and they all told me different things…One put me on a dairy free diet for a month and told me that I was allergic to dairy (which is NOT the case), another was all about pushing drugs and told me that I was just depressed. Another told me that if I lost weight I wouldn’t be sick. Since I have been sick, I have went from weighing 140 pounds to 200 pounds. I have gained 60 pounds in a year! I finally found a decent doctor that has put me on a medication to lower my prolactin level and shrink my tumor. My prolactin level has gone down significantly, but unfortunately, I can’t afford the medication and do not have medical insurance anymore.
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s nice to be able to relate to others in a similar situation. I don’t feel quite as alone. Hope you are doing better!

I went searching for the reason for the change and I just want to say, thanks for nothing! The onramp from Boylston is now a dangerous nightmare of an accident waiting to happen, that is if you don’t mind risking life and limb to chance even getting onto storrow. Russian roulette is a term that comes to mind. The curve makes it impossible for cars to see you or you them, which is magnified at night. They come SPEEDING around the corner in that lane, and what was once a breeze in terms of traffic backs up all the way at times TO boylston. Storrow itself was NEVER that bad so I’m not sure where all of this bs comes from, because like most of you I too, would get on an exit earlier and it was simple as pie to get on and you didn’t have to risk the onrampers pulling out. When i go that way now, which is normally because of the other problem, I don’t even drive in the right lane. It seems silly to even do so unless again, you’d like to risk smashing into an unsuspecting onramper. UGH. PS I’ve written letters as well asking for a reverse, as I hope anyone else that has feared for their life has done.

In my four years at MIT, I resided in a single-occupancy room, address 311 Munroe, East Campus Cambridge MA 02139. Probably you are referring to a resident of the hallway, which had about 40 students at any given time.
And no, I don’t consider the story “sad”. I haven’t been defeated yet, and I don’t intend to be.

Minorities voting en-masse is not an anomaly. The US remains the ultimate melting pot and indeed is doubling down on that. The internet youth (including the arab spring masses and many others around the entire world) is in ascendancy of power around the world and vastly socially liberal, and mostly economically centrist to slightly leftist.

Any organization that ignores their new majority, their social and secular sensibilities, does so at it’s own eventual peril, becoming increasingly marginalized.

Good analysis. Obviously, there is no such thing as “free stuff.” Somebody pays. It doesn’t require genius to figure out who. We all pay. We pay through reduced compensation, higher prices, smaller dividends, etc. In exchange for this illusion – we receive fewer freedoms.

My understanding when I worked for Christy’s Markets was that Christy’s dad named the store after his son when he started it, and that Christy and his brother(s) ultimately ended up running it, with Christy the obvious figurehead. Now, he may have been good at running it, and may have had a lot to do with its wide expansion and all that, but my understanding was that he did not start it from scratch, his father did. That said, good analysis, and I loved that ad.

This is a fine exposition of the subject. However, Pretty Woman brought home that idea in a simple manner. I’m writing a post in my brain about Mitt as Gere’s character in that movie, uh, only unmoved by Julia’s plight or her summation of his life’s chosen profession. I hate to say it, but so many women voters would finally get what’s wrong with Mitt if they could recast him by the light of that vapid character.

Obama has been, and always will be, the novelty president that everyone voted for (until they found out what he REALLY stands for).

I voted Ron Paul in the last election as a protest vote – not so much against Obama, but because McCain was very weak. Romney is nowhere near as weak, but your bullet points cause me to think again (which is good – and 50 waivers =/= full and total repeal of Obamacare)

During the 2002 gubernatorial elections, there was again the lesser of two evils: Shannon O’Brien, who promised to implement the wish list of the Democrats, vs. Romney, who beget Romneycare to the grinding and gnashing of teeth across the Commonwealth.

This rugged individualist feels that it will be very close, and Romney may (!) eke out a win. Whether that causes Samablog to pop its HTML out of joint will remain to be seen XD
