Let's say you have a job you don't like all that much. But it pays the bills. Eventually you'll find a better job when the market is better.

Now let's say there's a 60-40 chance you're going to get laid off, but the severance package isn't so bad. That means you might be out of work for a while, take a bit of a financial hit, but survive alright and rebound on your feet later anyway, maybe even with a better job that you really like.

Now let's say that you've just found out you have cancer. But the good news is that there's a 65-35 chance you can beat it.

For a conservative, the mediocre job is McCain, the semi-painful layoff with the severance and chance to turn a new page is Obama, and the cancer is Clinton.

Rush Limbaugh is advising you to let the cancer go for now because you have a better than even chance of beating it later and if you don't, instead there's a better than even chance you'll lose that job you don't like so much.

Don't play the odds with cancer.
