Yesterday’s shootings at Virginia Tech were an atrocity. Some people may be inclined to blame the shooter, a Chinese Korean student from Shanghai who was apparently distraught after being dumped by his girlfriend. The European press, however, has a different idea:
With a view to Monday’s deadly shooting rampage at Virginia Tech, European newspapers are blaming the lack of gun control measures in the United States and implying that Charlton Heston is indirectly responsible for the scope of the killings.
I blame Confucious. Makes about as much sense, doesn’t it?
So stupid…
UPDATE: Just to be clear, Virginia Tech was already a “No Gun Zone” by law. Seemingly, those gun control laws didn’t help when somebody decided to violate them…
UPDATE 2: Actually, it appears that the Virgina Tech shooter was motivated by World of Warcraft gold farming.
