WATER MAIN BURST AT FORT POINT CHANNEL!

This happened this morning. My office overlooks the Children’s Museum, on the South Boston side of the channel. We have lost water pressure in the building. You can clearly see where the Cat machine dug into the water main, and in one of the pics you can see where the water burst up four stories against the building. The tractor tried to plug up the hole, and that stopped the geyser effect, but didn’t stop the flooding. The flooding is continuing east down Congress St.

I’m presenting the pics below, taken with my camera phone. They are raw an unedited as I have no software to clean them up or resize them here. If you decide to use them, please credit the samaBlog.

I may take more and add them later.
