MBTA

The MBTA should give every holder of a monthly pass a free month for what happened today. I walked all the way from South Station to Harvard Sq, was turned down by one shuttle bus for being “too full” and lied to by another cop about trains running, only to get to Charles MGH and find trains NOT running, only go get to Harvard SQ and fin a load of people getting off a train. WTF?

And I hate to bring this up, I really really do, but what happened today was a minor trash fire on one line, and it gummed up boston traffic real bad. So here we are, 6 years after 9-11, and basically, the entire city gets tied in knots when one train shuts down in the subway. Meanwhile, the security theater is out in full force, doing nothing but showing off, as usual.

Just another reason not to nominate Mitt Romney if you ask me.

It is always a good idea to know alternate routes to your destination. In this case: Green Line to Lechmere, then bus 69 to Harvard Square or 87 to Sacramento Street, where you can walk under the tracks into the Agassiz neighborhood of Cambridge. Or walk to North Station and get a commuter train to Porter Square.

Never fear … Bush and Michael Brown, errr… I mean Chertoff are on it! They’ll clean up the problems and it’ll be at least as good as New Orleans!

What a strange comment to leave… Why would I, as someone who believes in Federalism, expect or want the federal government to get involved in local transportation?

And what on god’s green earth makes you think that I like Bush?
