Sore Losers

I always felt that Democrats were sore losers, but this is ridiculous:

Among Obama supporters, 20 percent said they would vote for Sen. John McCain of Arizona, the Republican nominee, if Clinton beats their candidate for the nomination. Among Clinton supporters, 19 percent said they would support McCain in November if Obama is the Democratic nominee.

I guess I could kind of see that among some Obama supporters, because he has crossover appeal, which Clinton does not. But what’s up with the Clinton supporters?

What I find amazing is that Clinton and Obama are so close, policy-wise, and so different from McCain that it just makes no sense for a supporter of either Democrat to vote for McCain. I think it’s a sign of how little actual policy stances matter when people vote – though they certainly complain about them after the fact.

I agree completely. I honestly think that most people vote on temprament/personality/looks than on anything else.

I’d vote for Hillary before McCain, definitely. She has way more personality than he does.
