MemoriesI’m busy and thus haven’t been blogging as much, but this is just too much: So what is Hillary’s explanation for this false statement? Did she allow her writers to embellish and maybe let her advisors convince her this was a good idea? No. Apparently, this was the result of a faulty memory:
It’s her indignant attitude at the end that gets me. A faulty memory might be responsible for getting a time or date wrong, or perhaps for misremembering the order in which events took place. It may even be responsible for mistaking one event for another. But inventing scenarios out of whole cloth? That comes from either being patently dishonest (more likely) or being cuckoo bananas (less likely, though not out of the realm of possibility). Either way, it’s not a trait that would make her fit to be commander in chief, on day one or any other day. UPDATE: actually, on second reading, she doesn’t detail what the “mistake” is, but it would seem as if she’s blaming a faulty memory. Maybe her mistake is something else though… Tags: Cuckoo Bananas, Hillary Clinton |

It seems to me that when Hillary tells a lie, it’s an embarassment and nobody is really harmed. When Bill tells a lie, an intern is injured. But when Bush & Cheney lie, 4,000+ American soldiers die and the reputation of America is horrendously damaged. Can you see the difference or do you just choose to ignore it?

I can help but be amused about being lectured on honesty by someone who leaves their email address as thetruth@noliers.com.

You wrote that you “can help but be amused” when you probably meant that you “can’t help but be amused”. Either way, glad I’m amusing you … while American soldiers are dying. Nevertheless, we could play stupid word games all day. For example, your comment form clearly states that an email address is required, but “will not be published”. Still, you published mine in your reply. But these kind of replies just ignore the real problem(s). My point was how could you possibly be so bothered by Hillary forgetting or lying (whichever you prefer) about one detail of her trip, yet appear completely unconcerned about an administration that fabricates lies in order to advance policies that lead directly to the loss of tens/hundreds of thousands of lives for no apparent purpose. Shouldn’t you put these in perspective? Perhaps you could examine items of substance that bother you about Hillary and/or why you choose to ignore the actions of a president who is causing deep & long-lasting damage to the country.

Another lie “Steve”. Your email address wasn’t published. The fake one you left was.
I blog about what interests me. I am in no way obligated to compare and contrast every false statement ever made by a politician in order to criticize Hillary Clinton. The Clinton lie interests me because it was so weird and cuckoo. I can’t imagine the psychology that lead her to utter it. Nobody was going to vote for her because of sniper fire in Tuzla, and nobody was going to vote against her for the lack of it. So why the lie?
Part of me wants to refuse to address your question about Bush’s “lies”, but I will say this much: in order for a false statement to be a lie, the person making that statement has to know it’s false. Repeating bad intelligence given to you by your intelligence bureaus and agreed upon by every foreign intelligence agency in the world at the time doesn’t constitute a lie, because there is no intent to disseminate false information.
And “Steve”, you know that. Which means that it’s your characterization of Bush that is the real lie.
Oh, and thanks for catching my error above.
