There was a porn star interviewed in Harper’s about setting the record for sex with the most men on a single occasion (I forget her name, and I’m not looking it up now from work–she was Asian, and a grad student in sociology in California) who argued that the whole concept is more homoerotic than anything else. There’s a crowd of naked men, and one woman: What are you spending most of your time looking at? She also claimed there was a lot of butt-slapping and sportsman-like camaraderie.

oh yes, I remember her. That’s an interesting take. It’s implying that bukkake itself is sort of gay. Hadn’t thought of that. I always thought it was supposed to be sort of degrading to the woman who is the object of the sex act.
